For the eighth consecutive year, the Traveling Golfer television show emerged from the annual Media Awards announcement at the PGA Show in Orlando with a national award.

The Media Awards, presented by the International Network of Golf, recognizes excellence in a number of different categories including print, radio and television. The Traveling Golfer television show received the Outstanding Achievement Award, emblematic of a runner-up finish in the television category.

It was the eighth consecutive year the show was honored – voted four times in previous years as the No. 1 Golf Television Show in America. This year marked the fourth Outstanding Achievement Award.

“This year’s award marks the incredible standard of consistency we have tried to achieve since the show first arrived on the scene,” said Tony Leodora, host of the Traveling Golfer. “We have an outstanding production team and an incredibly supportive group of sponsors. That has allowed us to bring our viewers to some of the most amazing golf destinations across the country and around the world.”

This year’s award came for a compilation show that detailed the amazing Travel Boom that hit the industry in the wake of the pandemic. Other shows throughout 2021 took viewers to amazing locations such as the Homestead in Virginia, Bedford Springs in Pennsylvania, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Scottsdale in Arizona – to name a few.

It was a double-winner year, as a feature story about the Travel Boom – authored by Leodora and published in GolfStyles Magazine – also won an Outstanding Achievement Award.
